It’s a question debated endlessly and now the latest Elon University Poll contains information that refutes the rhetoric of the anti-war crowd, who say the liberation of Iraq has made the U.S. more vulnerable to terrorist attack. According to Elon’s survey, as time passes, more and more North Carolinians reject the left’s notion. Last November, 40 percent said the risk of terrorist attack was greater than before the war began. But two weeks ago, the number dropped to 32 percent. At the same time, the number who believe the risk of terrorist attack is less than before the war started, increased from 22 to 28 percent. What’s more, two-thirds of North Carolinians surveyed believe the U.S. was right in using military force in Iraq. That number has held steady since November. Read the results for yourself here.
