It took only three days after winning their 15th straight victory for New England Patriots fans, with their inbred nature to perpetually pursue misery, to find something to complain about: that it’s hard to hate their Super Bowl opponent, the Carolina Panthers.

“No one to hate,” writes Dan Shaughnessy of the Boston Globe. “We hate that.”

Also from Dan:

“How many of you know that the Panthers play their home games in Charlotte, national capital of Yahoo, USA?” Typical for a smug, arrogant Bostonian.

“So whom do we hate? Should we target Panthers defensive tackle Brentson Buckner? New England fans have serious issues with ballplayers named “Buckner.” Maybe he would do for the villain.”
