Re: Judge rules Gboro redistrict unconstitutional

In a ruling that should surprise no one, U.S. district Court Judge Catherine Eagles ruled that the N.C. General Assembly unconstitutionally redistricted the Greensboro City Council in 2015. As a result, citizens will cast their votes in the fall council election based on the districts as they currently exist.

The lone defendant in the lawsuit, the Guilford County Board of Elections–did not offer a defense in the lawsuit, so an appeal is unlikely.

    ” A hack Democrat judge… the fix was end. The GOP never heard the gun go off. They forfeited which was the same as showing up and offering arguments . The decision was straight outa Lewis Carroll . The Queen of Hearts waited a respectable period before pronouncing : ” Off with her head ” (Trudy Wade’s of course ). This city council will be forever blue unless we can get our judge . ”
