GoBankingRates has a new “study” of average teacher salaries, titled “Here’s How Much Teachers Make in Every State.”
Charleston South Carolina-based freelance writer Lia Sestric calculates North Carolina’s average as $43,587, even though the N.C. Department of Public Instruction recently reported that the average North Carolina teacher salary is $49,837. The $6,250 discrepancy falls short of the most liberal definition of a “ballpark estimate.”
It reminds me of the Wallethub “studies” that are designed to increase web traffic at the expense of sound research.
