The Division of Non-Public Education just released the enrollment totals for home and private schools  the 2015-16 school year.

North Carolina had an estimated 118,268 home school students last year, a staggering increase of 11,415 students from the year before.  That is an increase of nearly 11 percent in just one year!  I mean, wowza!

Private school enrollment inched up by roughly 500 students.  It is possible that some of this growth was due to the Opportunity Scholarship and Special Needs Scholarship programs.
