The number of N.C. students educated in charter, private, and homeschools could top 300,000 in the not-too-distant future, according to the head of a leading school choice advocacy group.

Darrell Allison of Parents for Educational Freedom in North Carolina points to that number as one sign that support for school choice continues to grow across the state. Allison offered an assessment of the current state of school choice during a National School Choice Week event at the John Locke Foundation.
