Former state Rep. Deborah Ross, a Wake County Democrat, ended weeks of speculation and joined the race for U.S. Senate against two-term Republican incumbent Richard Burr. Ross made the announcement in the following video. Her only announced Democratic opponent is Spring Lake Mayor Chris Rey.
