Apparently, Rep. Tricia Cotham thinks that the one-time $750 bonus granted to teachers in this year’s state budget is an “insult.”
How many North Carolinians – including those in the private and nonprofit sectors who Rep. Cotham purports to represent – would welcome such an “insulting” gesture? How many of them will be lucky to see even a fraction of that bonus added to their pay in the coming year?
