Eric Owens of the Daily Caller turns to Democratic Party fundraising materials for a sense of Democrats’ early take on the race for the Republican presidential nomination.

An analysis of a month’s worth of Democratic Party fundraising emails shows that Democratic National Committee leaders believe contributors fear Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Rand Paul and Sen. Marco Rubio more than any other Republican presidential candidates (or potential candidates).

The emails from Democrats.org obtained by The Daily Caller show the red-tinted, vaguely satanic faces of Cruz, Paul and Rubio a total of seven times each.

“KEEP THESE GUYS OUT OF THIS HOUSE,” blares a typical email dated April 30. The red-tinted faces are juxtaposed with an overly whitened, almost angelic-looking image of the White House. “SO CHIP IN $10 OR MORE RIGHT NOW.”

Under a massive, red “OK” button, the email helpfully reminds recipients: “If you’ve saved your payment information, your donation will go through immediately.”

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush comes in a close second in image popularity in Democratic National Committte emails. The emails have featured Bush’s face six times — just once fewer than the winning trio of Cruz, Rand and Rubio.
