Featured Story this Morning from NC State’s Bulletin:

A staff member discovered a dead black bear on campus Tuesday morning, fueling a flurry of activity on social media as students prepare for final exams.

“Saw a dead bear walking in for my test in Bostian,” a student tweeted. “Then I wished I had taken on a live bear instead of that test.”

“Maybe the dead bear being outside of Bostian where my bio final is at 1:00 is a sign…a very very very bad sign,” wrote another.

Not everyone was amused by the curious find. “This is horrible,” a student tweeted. “Poor little guy,” said another.

It’s unclear how the 200-pound bear came to rest on a bench just outside of Bostian Hall. Police said an investigation is ongoing. Personnel from the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission have removed the bear from campus.
