John Locke Foundation President John Hood spent the lunch hour picking apart several common, but false, claims left-of-center pundits and politicians have been making about recent state policy. Those claims address issues such as tax burdens, teacher pay, and unemployment benefits.

During the video clip below from Hood’s speech to JLF’s Shaftesbury Society, he rebuts a claim that North Carolina’s 2013 tax reform plan benefits the well-to-do at the expense of the poor and middle class.
