Almond Cherry Chocolate Clusters

1 cup sliced almonds, toasted

1/2 Cup dried cherries, coarsely chopped  – Dried cranberries are very good substitute here.

6 oz. dark chocolate  – chips are easier  but you can break up a bar of dark chocolate.

Line a baking sheet with waxed paper

Mix almonds and cherries together.

Melt chocolate in a double boiler or in microwave on big for 1 minute, stir.  30 seconds more in microwave, stir til melted.

Stir fruit and nuts into chocolate.

By heaping tablespoons put on baking sheet @ an inch apart.  Put in fridge for about 15 minutes to set.

Makes about two dozen clusters.  Serve in seasonal miniature paper cup liners, on a glass plate.  These make a nice addition to your holiday dessert table or a lovely hostess gift or an indulgence while you’re contemplating the future of health care delivery in the US.  Either way these will leave you saying, “What a cluster!”
