The Deficit Pit of Unemployment Insurance

In today’s Fiscal Update, Sarah Curry helpfully explains the history of Unemployment Insurance in North Carolina and how we’ve gotten into the mess we’re in.  She also suggests a way out, by reevaluating unemployment benefit levels – a difficult but right decision that the General Assembly needs to make in order to get North Carolina’s finances back on track.
