N.C. Appeals Court affirms ruling favoring Rex in Certificate of Need dispute with WakeMed

A unanimous three-judge panel of the N.C. Court of Appeals has affirmed the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services’ 2011 decision to award a Certificate of Need to Rex Hospital for an expansion and consolidation of its surgical and cardiovascular services at its Raleigh location. WakeMed had challenged the CON decision.
