A warning from Canada
Lots of Americans have been told that Obamacare will be nothing but good — care for everyone at less cost. Sound too good to be true? Of course it is. One of the hidden costs will be delayed treatment, a problem that has been getting worse with time in Canada. This Freeman article discusses a new study by the Fraser Institute finding that wait times have grown.
I suspect that Canadian leftists who applaud expansions of their own state are worried that Obamacare will shut off their access to prompt medical care when they need it here.
True, our system prior to Obamacare was a mess, but we have gone in exactly the wrong direction by letting Obama and his allies federalize the health care system.

One comment
Wait times actually went down from 2008-2010 in Canada.
More than twice the number of Canadians say they are very satisfied about their access to care compared to American’s satisfaction level.
Despite the so-called wait times, Canadians have excellent health outcomes.
Many, many more American’s seek treatment in other countries than people from other countries come to America.
Capitalism is a wonderful thing–and has its place in health care. But the US needs to WAKE UP and implement a system that provides base care for everyone.
