In the House, the GOP holds a 68-52 majority. Sixty-nine of the 120 Senate seats are in play today, with the outcomes of 51 races already decided before the general election. Among the uncontested elections, Republicans hold a 26-25 advantage. They need to win 35 of the 69 contested elections to maintain a majority, and 42 of the contested elections to match their current majority. Democrats need to win 36 of the contested elections to retake the House majority.
