• Money check. 8th District congressional candidates Rep. Larry Kissell (D) and Richard Hudson (R) are basically even, at around $1.2 million raised. In the 9th District, Republican Robert Pittenger has raked in six times as much money as Democrat Jennifer Roberts; Pittenger has collected more than $3 million.
• Your honor … Campbell University law school will host a forum Thursday featuring Supreme Court candidates Justice Paul Newby and Appeals Court Judge Sam “Jimmy” Ervin.
• On the air. WHQR-FM and public access channel RTV will host a forum Thursday at 7 p.m. featuring the candidates for state House districts 19 and 20.
• Old math. Rep. Mike McIntyre, D-7th, is hitting GOP challenger David Rouzer with an ad using seniors claiming Rouzer’s favored Medicare plan would increase premiums for retirees. Politifact noted that the allegation is not accurate.
