Tax Foundation ranks North Carolina No. 44 for its business tax climate

Guess which state stands out in the Southeast — for all the wrong reasons — in the Tax Foundation’s latest State Business Tax Climate Index?

Yep. North Carolina ranks No. 44, far lower than its neighbors and all other Southeastern states. The only states that rank lower? Minnesota, Rhode Island, Vermont, California, New Jersey, and New York.

It sounds as if this state could use some tax reform.
