• Tar Heel Purple? The Economist profiles North Carolina with a focus on the 8th Congressional District.

 

• Hizzhonor. Rep. Mike McIntyre, D-7th District, announced the support of 3/4 of the mayors in the congressional district.

 

• TV talkers. WXII-TV in Winston-Salem aired a brief debate featuring the candidates for Senate District 45, GOP incumbent Dan Soucek and Democratic challenger Roy Carter.

 

• On the air. Hayden Rogers, the Democratic nominee for the 11th Congressional District, is up with his first campaign ads. Neither mentions he’s a Democrat.
