		<description><![CDATA[It amazes me the mantra of “Obama’s failed economic and foreign policies” gets bandied about with such aplomb by conservatives. Compared to whom? GW Bush? Just saying.

But that aside, Romney’s past taxes may not be important to hard right wingers—they already know who they are voting for (Anybody but Obama). However, to those few swing voters out there, knowing if their potential president paid his fair share of taxes is hugely important—especially in the light of Romney’s clumsy statement about the 47 percent.

How much is he shielding in off shore tax shelters? How much is he really paying in income taxes (excluding all the other taxes that makes up his supposed 13 or 14 percent)? Are his income taxes where they should be, or is he mooching off the gov like the other 47 percent? Why won’t he release back taxes—very much against what his own father professed to be a must for a presidential candidate?

These are not “liberal gotcha” talking points. The real people out there who live outside the Fox News vacuum really want to know what Mitt is hiding by not releasing his tax returns.]]></description>
