• Neighborhood visit. South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley will campaign today in Fayetteville with GOP gubernatorial candidate Pat McCrory.
• Survey says … A new poll of the state Senate District 25 shows Democrat Gene McLaurin leading Republican Gene McIntyre by 8 points.
• Candidate gathering. Rep. Mike McIntyre, D-7th District, and his Republican opponent David Rouzer were among the candidates appearing at a Sampson County Farm Bureau forum.
• Mountain feud. The candidates for the 11th Congressional District, Republican Mark Meadows and Democrat Hayden Rogers, traded barbs at a couple of forums last week.
• Ask permission. An invitation to a fundraiser for House District 45 candidate Eddie Dees naming some Cumberland County commissioners who have not endorsed the Democratic nominee raises eyebrows.
• Here’s the bill. A new ad from the Romney campaign focuses on the federal debt.
