The U.S. Department of Education has released a list of the school districts that have indicated an intent to compete for a federal Race to the Top grant.
The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction received a $400 million statewide Race to the Top grant in 2010. This year, school districts may apply for a share of $400 million in federal money to develop “personalized learning plans” for students. Applicants included the following districts/district collaborations:
