In a recent interview, Rodney Ellis, President of the North Carolina Association of Educators, shared his thoughts on the upcoming school year.

He is concerned that the state budget will force public school educators to endure much larger classes and absorb additional out-of-pocket expenses.  Indeed, Mr. Ellis predicts class sizes of 35 to 40 children.  He also speculates that “9,000 or more” education positions will be cut from our public schools.

We will see if Mr. Ellis is correct!
