It is interesting to note that the President’s class rhetoric is always about pitting income classes against each other, particularly “the middle class” and the “rich”. It is no coincidence that neither he, nor any other truly successful politician, ever reference the real class struggle. That is the struggle between the ruling class, which the President is firmly entrenched in and includes both Democrats and Republicans, and the ruled class, which includes rich and poor alike. Just to make it clear, the defining characteristic of the ruling class is that it is comprised of those who have the legal right to enforce their edicts on others by directing their subordinates to use threats and ultimately physical force and violence.
