• Republican Secretary of State candidate Ed Goodwin gets the endorsement of former rival A.J. Daoud for the July 17 runoff.

 

• Fox News’ John Roberts says recent political events in North Carolina have given some Democrats pause about choosing Charlotte for the national convention.

 

• GOP gubernatorial nominee Pat McCrory’s first TV ad is up.

 

 

• And Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney has a new one running as well.
