JLF budget expert notes N.C. government spending reached a record high in 2012

We’ve heard a lot during the primary election campaign — and we’ll hear more during the upcoming legislative session — about the impact of state budget cuts.

But Fergus Hodgson informs us in a new John Locke Foundation report that North Carolina state government spending reached a record level in this 2012 budget year, both on a per person basis and as a percentage of North Carolinians’ income.
