Media largely ignoring closure of The Mint

Two of the largest media outlets in the area, namely WRAL and the News & Observer, continue to ignore the closure of The Mint, an upscale, taxpayer-subsidized restaurant in downtown Raleigh.  There is no valid excuse for their failure to report on this boondoggle.

If you are looking for information on end of The Mint’s stint, a handful of trustworthy and reliable news outlets – Triangle Business Journal, ABC 11, the Bill LuMaye Show, and the John Locke Foundation – have you covered.

  2. Apparently the local opinion shapers can’t tolerate the truth that government “investments” are foolish and not a proper function of government at all. Better that the taxpayers remain in the dark even though this is more newsworthy than many things they do cover.
