A 4000 year Greenland Temperature Record

Here’s the scenario. Greenland is warming, ice caps are melting, and eventually, New York City is flooding. Now the problem with this story. New research from the Geophysical Research Letter, a top climate research journal, estimating 4000 years of Greenland temperature anomalies, suggest nothing unusual is going on and it has been both much warmerContinue Reading

Arizona State Speaks Loudly, Carries a Small Stick

What if I told you I was going to “reconceptualize” our public research universities into “New American Universities,” “comprehensive knowledge enterprises” committed to “perpetual innovation?” You’d probably smack me across the face and tell me to stop speaking gibberish. The American taxpayer has no choice but to fork over massive amounts of their hardContinue Reading

Unfortunate timing for “Love the Bus” week

Charlotte Observer story: CMS bus blaze echoes previous fires Quote: A Charlotte-Mecklenburg school bus that caught fire Wednesday [February 8] afternoon was the same make and model as other buses that have gone up in flames in North Carolina in the past two years, prompting state officials to send at least one cautionary memo toContinue Reading

Pew research find gigantic problems with voter registrations

According to this study, about two million dead people are on voter lists, and upwards of three million have active registrations in more than one state. But that’s no reason to worry about vote fraud, of course. Nope — that’s just a myth and we shouldn’t do anything to clean up elections.
