Teflon Shea Roseboro rides again, as usual without a license, once again proving me right that it is an incorrect assumption on the part of much of the citizenry here that a license is actually required to drive in this county.

Teflon Shea Roseboro

He was arrested half a dozen times for driving without a license in the last year and several more the year before that. (He usually bonds out on $400 to $1000, only 10 percent of which he actually has to come up with in cash … so ….)

But what is remarkable about Teflon Shea is that he is driving around at all. We’ve been chronicling his remarkable criminal career on this blog for years and last flipped out after he was arrested in September. Now we learn he has been arrested three more times since then.

Roseboro is one of Charlotte’s most prolific criminals. The new DA, Andrew Murray, told us that repeat criminals would now be targeted for long(er) prison sentences, and that a partnership with the police would help identify them.

Roseboro has been arrested nearly 40 times since he was 16 for everything from armed robbery to auto theft, but has done less than a year of prison. time total. He has shot two people, one in 2008 for which he never served any prison time, and another in 2010. He has auto theft, robbery, theft and assault charges against him.

Here’s a good summary.

Here’s some of this year’s arrests:

3/22 Driving With License Revoked

6/16 Driving With License Revoked

9/29 Driving With License Revoked

11/1 Arrested for Driving With License Revoked and Assault on a Female

12/2 for Driving With License Revoked and possession of marijuana.

Then on 12/20 he was arrested again for Driving With License Revoked.

Can’t wait to see what Teflon will come up with in 2012.
