Vote early and vote often – and we have here and here and here and here – on whether a photo ID should be required in order to vote.  North Carolina is one of 19 states (most with Democratic governors) that does not require a photo ID to vote.  See this interactive map for more on who does and who does not require a photo ID (all our neighbors do- even South Carolina).

Governor Perdue vetoed the NC bill to require a photo ID.  Here’s who voted no in the House and those who voted no in the Senate.

But the issue may not be dead.
