Guilt by association

That’s what is behind the collapse of the proposed center on the North Carolina Constitution at NCCU’s Law School. In today’s Pope Center piece, Jane Shaw writes about it. The center would have been headed by former supreme court justice and NCCU faculty member Robert Orr, but because the funding would have come from the Pope Foundation, some faculty and alumni pitched a fit. Would the existence of that center really have undermined the school as vociferous opponents opined? Or is it the case that some people stop thinking when you mention the Pope Foundation?
