Orange County Commissioner Barry Jacobs has laid out the county commission’s plan for multiple tax hikes.

Commissioner Barry Jacobs said another increase — a quarter-cent sales tax that would create revenue for local schools and economic growth — took priority over the half-cent sales tax.

“We are focused on passing the quarter-cent first,” Jacobs said.
The board, unwilling to overwhelm voters with multiple tax increases, will discuss putting the half-cent increase on the ballot next year, Jacobs said.

Orange commissioners love to say their goal is to protect middle class and poor families, yet the proud elitist  liberals support multiple tax hikes that will take money from the very people they claim to care about. You can’t make it up. And by the way, the commissioners have no problem disenfranchising rural voters to try and get the sales tax hike passed in November.
