Government Will Have to Pay for 1/2 of all Health Care Costs By 2020

A new government report estimates that, ”Total health care spending is expected to nearly double to $4.6 trillion in 2020, from $2.6 trillion in 2010. Health care spending per capita is forecast to increase to $13,708 in 2020 from $8,327 in 2010.”

These kinds of estimations are made annually, but this is the first report that attempted to estimate the future costs of health reform.
