Today, the House Rules Committee took up House Bill 87 which was formerly known as the Sunshine Amendment.  House Bill 87  failed previously to pass out of the House Rules Committee three separate times.  The bill re-emerged as a *proposed committee substitute and is now titled Accident Ticket 30 Day Contact Bill.

A similar bill, Senate Bill 67 titled Sunshine Amendment, is still alive in the Senate Judiciary Committee but has not moved since February.

There should be an inclination towards sunshine within the government but hope for that now rests solely in the currently immobile Senate bill.

The new version of House Bill 87 was referred to the House Judiciary A. Committee with a favorable report.
