The High Point Enterprise says “taxpayers already are subsidizing PART with several million a year. We doubt they want to pay more.”
Meanwhile, Davidson County Commissioner Don Truell —–a PART board member who voted for PART’s request for the vehicle tax, acknowledges the timing just isn’t right, adding he hasn’t “gotten any response that’s been in favor of it right now.”
As you can imagine, Guilford County commissioners’ reaction will be most interesting.
