A combined report by WSB television and The Atlanta Constitution has found at least 600 non-citizens registered to vote, with 220 of them having voted. Several of those interviewed seemed not to have had any nefarious purpose in voting. They were just pressed by the really clueless election officials to do it:

“A bad slip in the American system. Everyone thinks it’s perfect, obviously it’s not,” said Dominic Brannigan, a British citizen who is on the voter rolls in Fulton County.

He’s never voted, but started receiving voter registration cards in the mail after renewing his drivers’ license.

Another non-citizen said:

“They send me papers to vote and I vote.”

Anyone with half a brain could have told you that motor-voter was a stupid idea, but it that the multi-culti, politically correct imprimatur of the hard left, and a certain feel-good quality, so it was passed. This is what it’s wrought.

Bureaucrats are acquisitive types. They always try to increase their office space, their number of desks and their “constituencies.” It’s one thing to send out mass mailings asking for more people to apply for food stamps when they don’t really seem to need them. It’s another to send out mailings asking foreigners to have a say in our elections.

Some idiot on a well-known lefty North Carolina blog said yesterday (I refuse to link to it and give them any traffic) that conservatives were trying to destroy “our sacred election process.” First of all, is that projection or is that projection? Vote fraud is not a flaw in many lefty campaigns, it’s a feature. If he really cares so much about the electoral process, he should be concerned about what they found in Atlanta. Because you just know it’s not just happening there.
