I don’t think it took the powers that be at Nike very long to make this decision:

Nike is suspending the release of a new shoe tied to troubled Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, who was indicted in relation to a dog-fighting ring earlier this week.

The Nike Air Zoom Vick V football shoe was scheduled for a late August release, but those plans — much like Mr. Vick’s season — are now on hold.

But Nike didn’t completely cut ties with Vick:

While Nike is suspending Mr. Vick’s new training shoe’s release, it is not making any moves regarding his football cleats, which are already in stores.
