The tragic accident that killed four people in Elon on Saturday got national air when Rush Limbaugh mentioned it leading off today’s show.
Limbaugh cited this N&O article (the best reporting on the accident I’ve seen) with the headline 4 killed as SUV hits disabled car as further evidence that the mainstream media still believe that SUVs have minds of their own.
But the N&O might have it, because what else could explain Robin Stanfield going up on her right-side wheels and plowing into the four victims? Stanfield’s father speculates that one of her tires blew. Charges are pending, so it will be interesting to see what police cite as the cause of this horrble accident. Let’s hope it’s anything but sheer carelessness.
