“Today’s the end of the line for Jim Black and his corruption.” Those were the first words of U.S. Attorney George Holding’s statement after this morning’s sentencing hearing.

Black entered a so-called “Alford plea” (he doesn’t admit guilt, but he allows the court to proceed as if he’s guilty) in the $50,000 cash-for-vote scheme involving former Rep. Michael Decker’s party switch.
